Each spring, we offer wild turkey hunts on our private properties. This area of NE Iowa along the Mississippi River valley offers ideal habitat with a nearly perfect ratio of old growth timber and smaller crop fields, low hunting pressure, lack of predators, and an abundance of food. Because of this, we have a very large wild turkey population, including some real “longbeards.” In fact, the top #3 all time scoring state record was shot on one of our farms just a few years ago. A good bird will weigh between 18-24 pounds and have 10-12 inch beards.
Our hunters typically have a 90-95% harvest opportunity rate, meaning the overwhelming majority of them go home with a trophy gobbler and memories of a lifetime. A 3 day hunt is only $250 (not including lodging). If you wish to hunt longer it will be at a cost of $75/day. We do have nice fully furnished cabins that are available to rent located on some of the properties.
